Last month was quite a busy month for me and I was hoping May would be a little more free but it ended up being quite the opposite. If I’m being honest with myself, the next 2 months will probably be the same, if not worse.
For those of you that don’t already know, I’m a high school teacher in Canada so June means the school year is wrapping up and July means Summer School begins!
Despite being busy, reading is one of my top methods of self-care so I know for a fact that reading will still get done!
Here’s an overview of the books I read this month:
Books I read: 6
- Graceling – Kristin Cashore
- Lost In The Never Woods – Aiden Thomas
- Awe – Paul David Tripp
- A Heart So Fierce And Broken – Brigid Kemmerer
- Get A Life, Chloe Brown – Talia Hibbert
- The Star-Crossed Sisters of Tuscany – Lori Nelson Spielman
I recently posted an in-depth review of Lost In The Never Woods by Aiden Thomas! Click here to read the review.
Books I DNF’d: 0
Check out my Goodreads page to read my reviews for each of these books: https://www.goodreads.com/andreasbkcorner
It’s time to start thinking about summer projects! If you’ve ever thought of writing your own book or already have ideas for one, don’t get overwhelmed! This blog post has a free printable step-by-step workbook that guides you through the planning process!
I’m curious to see how many books I’ll be able to read next month amidst the chaos! If you haven’t already, check this out for free reading trackers you can print out and use: Start Tracking Your Reading This Spring | Free Printables and don’t forget to mention me on social media so I can give you a shoutout!
How was your reading month? Have you read any of the books that I read this month? Let me know in the comments below.
I am so looking forward to Lost in the Never Woods!

That is a lot of books, way to go! I love hearing that reading is how you practice self care–it’s always good to take care of yourself, especially when busy as you have been.

Thank you so much! It’s definitely important to fit time in and care for yourself even in busy seasons (even though it can be hard sometimes!)
