“April showers bring May flowers”
This saying was completely true this year. We had some sunny days, but mostly cloudy ones. Nevertheless, I’m starting to enjoy cloudy weather because it’s the perfect set up for a relaxing reading session.
A lot happened this month – work-wise, family-wise, and health-wise so I wasn’t able to get to as many books as I would’ve hoped but that’s okay! Shadow and Bone came out on Netflix as well this month so I watched that for a few days instead of reading.
Here’s an overview of the books I read this month:
Books I read: 6

- Lore – Alexandra Bracken
- Invictus – Ryan Graudin
- A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire – Jennifer L. Armentrout
- Siege and Storm – Leigh Bardugo
- Ruin and Rising – Leigh Bardugo
- Crooked Kingdom – Leigh Bardugo
Books I dnf’d: 0
You can check out my Goodreads page to read my reviews for each of these: https://www.goodreads.com/andreasbkcorner
I’m curious to see how many books I’ll read next month! If you haven’t already, check this out for free reading trackers you can print out and use: Start Tracking Your Reading This Spring | Free Printables and don’t forget to mention me on social media so I can give you a shoutout!
How was your reading month? Have you read any of the books that I read this month? Let me know in the comments below.

Looks like you had a good reading month. I still need to get to Lore.

What a great reading month!! It looks like you completed the Shadow and Bone trilogy as well as the Six of Crows duology. Did you like one more than the other? I can’t remember if you watched the show already. If you have, what are your thoughts on it so far?

I did! Overall, I enjoyed Shadow and Bone more. I felt like there was more of a plot/storyline going on whereas Six of Crows is more action. I did watch the show and really enjoyed it! How about you 🙂

I enjoyed it too! Jesper and Inej are probably my favorites in the show so far. I’m hoping to read the Grishaverse books when I get a chance, probably over the summer.

I keep hearing about Jennifer L. Armentrout’s books at the moment but haven’t actually read any of them yet. Must get to them to see what they’re all about. Same with Leigh Bardugo actually – she’s been on my list for ages. You still read a really good number of books! Happy reading for May – and I hope life settles down for you!

Jennifer L. Armentrout is a really good romance author in my opinion! Thanks for the encouragement 🙂

I love seeing the Grishaverse books on your reading list! That’s my favorite series of all time! I was so glad I got a chance to read both books in the King of Scars duology in April. I hope you enjoy those when you get to them as well – since you’ve finished the other two series 🙂 I hope I get a chance to read Lore soon. It’s been on my TBR for ages!

I’ve been noticing that you really love the series and the show! I’m on a break from the Grishaverse for a little while but will jump into the duology very soon! Good to see from your blog that you enjoyed them. Let me know how you feel about Lore once you get to it!
