I anticipated this past month to be one of the busiest and that it was. I taught two high school Summer School courses and for one of them, it was my first time ever teaching it. Luckily, I still managed to get through the month and even ended up reading one more book than I average per month!
I listened to Every Breath by Nicholas Sparks as an audiobook! I don’t usually do this because I prefer reading to listening but was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed the audiobook experience – it was immersive and also great to be able to listen to books while doing everyday house work.
My favourite book this month was You’ve Reached Sam by Dustin Thao. It was an ARC that I was able to get through Wednesday Books – thank you! It completely wrecked me emotionally and I can’t wait for my full review on this book to be released soon on this blog – stay tuned!
Here’s an overview of the books I read this month:

Books I read: 8
- Empire Of Storms – Sarah J. Maas
- Luck Of The Titanic – Stacey Lee
- Tokyo Ever After – Emiko Jean
- You’ve Reached Sam – Dustin Thao
- Every Breath – Nicholas Sparks
- Mystic Invisible – Ryder Hunte Clancy
- A Pho Love Story – Loan Le
- Namesake – Adrienne Young
Books I dnf’d: 1

- The Ones We’re Meant To Find – Joan He

Special shoutout to my local library for just being so awesome and carrying so many new books. Although I own many books, many of the books I read are from the library too! It’s a great alternative to owning your own books if you don’t want to always pay for books you’re not sure if you’ll like and want to keep.

How was your reading month? Have you read any of the books that I read this month? Let me know in the comments below.

I had a pretty good reading month myself. I haven’t read any of these, but Tokyo Ever After looks like a fun one!! Glad your classes went well this summer, since you hadn’t taught one of them before!

I’m currently dyyyyying to read You’ve Reached Sam! I’ve read a few reviews on it and it sounds absolutely phenomenal. But sadly, none of the three library systems I have cards for have it available as a physical, e-book, or audiobook! Super bummer. Hopefully it’ll be available soon!
